Rosetta Comet Landing Mission—Landed!!

The Philae probe from the European Space Agency’s Rosetta Mission, launched in 2004, sped through 6.4 billion miles of space and landed on a comet 310 million miles from Earth today! According to CNN, “The lander weighs about 220 pounds and is the size of a domestic washing machine. The target comet is only 4 kilometers, or 2.5 miles, in diameter.”
