Take TPaCK into the New Year- Part 2
A previous post discussed onboarding colleagues to the TPaCK instructional framework.
TPaCK is an instructional framework that measures the interactions among content, pedagogy, and technological knowledge” (Koehler & Mishra, 2009, p. 66). Strong correlations among the components helps teachers identify effective practices that will enrich students’ learning experiences (Teague, 2017).
It is important to not assume that colleagues are familiar with the TPaCK framework nor inservice at a basic level if they are. An easy way to gauge TPaCK concept awareness is to ask two questions. A 2-question survey is an effective and efficient way to ascertain awareness.
A pilot study used an online, 2-question survey to learn about TPaCK awareness among current K-12 educators in both public and private schools across the U.S.

The survey was created using Survey Anywhere. Pilot study participants were given both a link and a QR-code for mobile completion.
