#EFH: Alternatives to Online Course Communication
- Audio Posting for Discussion Boards: Students can use in-course audio and vid feature … to submit their posts, reflections, journal entries, short assignments.

- Google Type is a adaptive alternative to written assignments. (Older learners like this too!) Here is a short video with show-hows:
- Google Type is also an excellent option for transcription for diverse learning compliance. I create transcripts for instructions, communications, etc… I use the resulting file transcription and Google Translate options so that all learners can have access in their preferred language.
- From Julie Jones’ Twitter Feed: “Create online experiences that encourage connections. Connections to family, connections to nature, connections to new understandings.”
